Beazley Cup Intermetiate Tournament

We are excited to announce the return of the Beazley Tournament on Sunday, 6th April 2025, a cherished event in our netball community. This tournament celebrates the memory and legacy of Rosalie Beazley, a Life Member of the Whangarei Junior Netball Association, who has played a pivotal role in the growth and success of netball in Whangarei since the 1960s.

In the early 1980s, Rosalie donated the Beazley Trophy, establishing a special tournament for intermediate teams that ran for over 20 years. This event brought together teams and players from across the region, fostering excitement, friendly competition, and community spirit.

Now, we are excited to bring back the Beazley Tournament to honor Rosalie’s vision and ensure that future generations experience the same enthusiasm and camaraderie this event once inspired. The Beazley Tournament will continue to be a celebration of intermediate teams.

We encourage all Intermediate netball teams to participate as we celebrate the rich history of our beloved sport and the incredible contributions made by Rosalie Beazley.

Tournament Details

Date: Sunday, 6th April 2025

Game Format:

Knock-out
2 x 20-minute halves
3-minute half-time break

Grades:

Year 7
Year 8
Combined Year 7 & 8 teams must register in Year 8

Registration Details

Closing Date:Team registrations close on Monday, 31st March 2025.
Please ensure your team is registered before this date. If you encounter any issues, contact Whangarei Netball Centre at admin@whangareinetball.co.nz.

Fees:

All grades: $60.00 per team
Team fee is due in full by Monday, 31st March 2025, via online banking, following receipt of the invoice.
Non-payment by the deadline may result in your team being withdrawn.

If making a payment into our bank account and you do not have an invoice, please state the your name, team and tournament so we are able to identify your payment.
